What is a precinct delegate?

Precinct Delegates are the liaison between a politician/candidate and their constituency (that’s you and your community).  They identify other interested Democrats and encourage them to get involved.  Another important function of a PD is to vote on Democratic Party leadership at conventions.

What We Believe

We're Looking to Expand Our Role

Precinct Delegates are a huge part of the reason candidates get elected.  We see potential for major changes in grassroots politics, and we’re working hard to make those changes.

We believe that democracy requires an informed public. As Precinct Delegates, we are dedicated to engaging with our neighbors in a constructive and informative way, so that our neighbors feel empowered to make their voices heard. As Democrats, we believe that, when the people speak up for themselves, Democrats win.
